Art in Flight
The Lee County Port Authority takes great pride in showcasing Southwest Florida artists and their work for the traveling public. Art in Flight is a partnership between the Lee County Alliance for the Arts and Lee County Port Authority, which brings art to the public spaces at Southwest Florida International Airport.
Location: Upper level, hallways leading to the B and D Concourses
We live in a rapidly changing world, from technology to our physical environments, it can feel daunting to try to keep up. For this exhibition, the Alliance for the Arts asked artists to meditate on themes of change through a hopeful lens. Artists were asked to create work that explores ideas of growth, progress and resilience and can represent the artist’s personal selfgrowth or images that relate to growth they see in the world around them. This collection features 30 pieces of artwork in the mediums of oil, acrylic, watercolor, mixed media, collage and photography.
